How to Compare Strategies in Headway Copytrade

Headway Copytrade offers you a wide selection of strategies to follow. But is there a way to compare them to choose the best? Well, there is! In this guide, you will learn how to compare several strategies at a time and analyze their differences.

Why do you need to compare strategies?

The Investor Board in Headway Copytrade has all kinds of different strategies. While you can certainly explore them one by one, it is hard to remember all the stats.

That’s why Headway developed a feature for comparing different strategies. This way, you can see them side by side and analyze their success and profitability in a much broader context.

Now, let’s find out how to select several strategies for comparison.

How to add strategies for comparison in Copytrade

You can select potential strategies while browsing through strategy cards on the Investor Board. Simply click the ? icon to add a strategy to the comparison list.

You can compare an unlimited number of strategies at the same time. However, it is more convenient to analyze the data of up to five strategies at once.

To start your comparison, click Compare at the bottom part of your screen.

How to analyze comparison sheets in Copytrade

A comparison sheet includes information about all strategies you selected. If you want to add more strategies to the list, you can click Add to compare.

At the top row of the comparison sheet, you will see the names and icons of the selected strategies. The rows below show the key statistics of each respective strategy. This allows you to see all important parameters at the same time.

Now, let’s explore which stats you can analyze in a comparison sheet.

CommissionThe money traders charge you for copying their trades. This row allows you to compare how much it would cost you to follow each strategy.
Gross profit
The money each strategy has managed to bring including all the losses it incurred. For instance, if a strategy brought $500 but lost $150, the gross profit of this strategy will be $500 – $150 = $350
GainThe ratio of gross profit to investments. In simpler terms, this percentage shows how much a trader managed to increase their capital through trading.
Active days
The number of days during which the strategy owner has engaged in active trading. This parameter takes into account any day when the trader opens or closes at least one position.
Win rate
The ratio of successful trades to the total number of trades made on a strategy account. This is one of the parameters that helps you assess the overall performance of a strategy.
RiskThe potential for financial loss arising from fluctuations in the value of traded assets. In Copytrade, the risk of a strategy can be low, medium, or high. Headway calculates it based on the number of open positions and the capital invested in them. So if one trader puts 50% of their money into trades, they’re taking more risk than another trader who only puts 10% in.
InvestorsThe number of investors following each specific strategy.
Profitable ordersThe total amount of earnings made on each strategy account.
ProfitThe overall amount of financial loss incurred by the strategy owner.
Loss ordersThe number of trades that brought losses.
LossOverall amount of financial loss incurred by the strategy owner.
BalanceThe current value of a strategy account. Knowing how much capital a trader uses can help you better evaluate the profitability of a strategy.
EquityThe sum of the account balance and the value of potential profits or losses. It shows what would happen with the account balance if the trader closed all active trades at this particular moment. A higher equity generally means the account is doing well, while lower equity might indicate losses or less profitable trades.
Account type
The account used by a trader. Headway offers three types of trading accounts: Cent, Standard, and Pro. This is one of the adjustable account parameters. If you decide to follow a strategy, you can customize your account type according to your preferences.
PlatformTrading platform that hosts each account. This is one of the adjustable account parameters.
LeverageAmount of leverage used by traders. This is an adjustable setting that can be changed at any time.
CurrencyThe currency used for making transactions on each strategy account.
Joining dateThe date when each strategy account was first created.
FavoredThe number of users who added each strategy to their Favorites (⭐). Note that this also includes users who aren’t following the strategy.
LikesThe number of active investors who found the strategy interesting and gave it a thumbs-up. You can like a strategy only if you are among its followers.

This spreadsheet allows you to see the most important strategy stats. Use it to compare the performance of each strategy, how well it is received by other users, and the main strategy settings used by strategy owners. Evaluate each row carefully to understand which strategy suits your goals best.
